MAC Venomous Villains Lipglass

From right to left: Strange Potion, Wicked Ways

The Swatches

MAC Venomous Villains Lipglass : Limited Edition : $14.50
*Available at SOME Mac counters and stores if you ask if they have any left. I got these two a couple weeks ago after searching for quite some time.

I absolutely love everything about this whole collection of lipglasses. They are pigmented and shiny and wonderful colors.

Strange Potion: Has the Evil Queen from Snow White on the box and the actual lipglass. The color is a corally pinkish which I find to be very pretty. Looks good with all looks and comes off on your lips like it does at first glance.

Wicked Ways: Has Cruella DeVil on the box and bottle with some Dalmatians. At first glance it looks red. If you swatch it on your hand, it also looks red. But when you wear it on your lips, it is a deep berry. I actually haven't worn this one till today and I love it so much.

If you love Mac Lipglass, get these! Their both wonderful! If your looking for a dramatic sort of red lip for the day time, Wicked Ways is defiantly the lipglass to do that for you. It's sheer but pigmented and the color is really stand-out-ish. It looks very pretty with played down eyes and a more dramatic lipcolor.

It is the same MAC formula and everything. Just new colors and new bottles (which I love)!

MAC Studio FInish SPF 35 Concealer

BEFORE (I had a little cut on my hand so I thought I'd demonstrate)

AFTER (Cut?...What cut?)

MAC Studio Finish SPF 35 Concealer: $16.50

MAC describes this as a lightweight, creamy, discreetly opaque concealer. Provides a smooth, long-wearing invisible coverage for all skin blemishes. Water-resistant, fragrance-free and non-acnegenic. This emollient-based, lightweight concealer is so concentrated that a tiny amount can provide opaque coverage of the skins imperfections and dislocations. It effectively covers dark circles, blemishes, moles, tattoo's and birthmarks. Enriched with antioxidants (derivatives of Vitamin A and Vitamin E), it also contains Silica to help absorb the skin's oils. Concealer has an SPF of 35 and is available in a wide range of colors. It can be applied with a medium to firm fiber brush (try the 242 brush), a latex sponge or the fingertips.

Here's what I think. It is lightweight and very creamy and very discreet. It looks just like your real skin. It last's all day! Though sweaty summers in Florida to chilly humid winters. I love that its waterproof! A little bit goes a long way when it comes to this concealer and it's anything BUT cakey. It works on tattoo's and birthmarks (I've tried it) and it comes in 14 shades. I would recommend going into the store/counter unless you know what color you are to get matched.

I just use my fingers to apply. I haven't tried it with a brush yet so I can't tell how it would be with a brush. I'm sure completly flawless. This sets perfectly on my skin and makes me look flawless. I love this!

I've tried a lot of other shitty (excuse my French) concealers. I will never go back. Worth the money. Worth everything. Get it.

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural: $26

MAC describes this face powder as a luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set or fix foundation or as a touch up throughout the day. The shade I use is medium but it comes in eight other shades. For $26 dollars you get 10 grams or 0.35 oz. Pricey I know but welcome to MAC.

All in all, I couldn't live without this product. I have tried a lot of fixed powders and this is by far my favorite. It's a very light coverage product and I use it to set my foundation. I won't put on my foundation without it. It's so light and smells good and isn't dusty. It does fade of course so you have to bring it with you when you want to touch up throughout the day but it's completely worth it since no powder will last all day.

I wear this when I know I'm going somewhere but I don't want to put on foundation and all that jazz. It gives me a light coverage that I feel comfortable in and won't cake on my face.

I know this is a product that I wil use over and over again and when it runs out, I will get more. I love this stuff. It's amazing. Don't buy online unless you know what shade you are. Go into the store or counter and have the lady match you. You won't be disappointed! Absolutly amazing product! A must have.

I give this 10 out of 10 stars. Nothings wrong with it at all.

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser

Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser: $9.97
*There are available everywhere from CVS to Publix.

I'm sure everyone has heard that if you have normal to oily skin, that Cetaphil is the best facial cleanser to get. They are probably right. This is a really good quality face wash. It is NOT a makeup remover. If you are looking for a face wash that removes all of you're makeup too, this is not for you. It gets off the dirt and clogged pores but not you're makeup. I would suggest removing it beforehand or using Neutrogena Makeup Remover and Cleanser (I will review for you - keep a lookout).

This stuff makes my face so soft! I love it. I will be purchasing again and getting a travel bottle for when I go away on trips. It does make my nose shiny but that happens to me with all facial cleansers (even when they claim not too) but as soon as I put on my makeup or moisturizer, it goes away. So it's not big deal to me.

I give this 9 out of 10 for the shiny nose.

Carmex Original Formula Lip Balm

Carmex Original Formula Lip Balm: $5
*These are so easy to find. I got mine at Publix. CVS or anywhere, do not pass this up!

This is by far the best lip balm ever created by man. It's not just a lip balm. It's a HEALING lip balm. I suffer from dry lips and I have more lip balms, moisturizers yada yada than anyone. This miracle lip balm makes me want to throw them all in the trash bin and not even think twice about all the money i wasted.

I had given up completely on lip balms till my best friend, Sam, recommended this to me, saying that it was the best lip balm she ever tried.

I was trying to complain to her about how my lips are always dry and I always have to brush them with a toothbrush to get all the dead skin off and the cracks and she had know IDEA what I was talking about. When I asked her why she didn't get it, she told me that Carmex had kept her lips moisturized and soft her whole life and thats why she had never had that problem.

Needless to say, I had to try it. She let me borrow some and I put it on my lips at night and went to bed. When I woke up in the morning, it felt like I had just put the stuff on 5 minutes ago. I wiped it off and put on my regular makeup and lipstick/gloss and went throughout my day. My lips had never been in such good condition. I just happened to stop at Publix and came across it by chance. I HAD TO GET IT!

The stuff is cheap. It's not gonna make a dent in your pocket or anything. Come up with 5 dollars and get this stuff. It really is incredible.

Essie Nail Polish in Nice is Nice

Essie Nail Polish in Nice is Nice: $7.75
* You can get these at Ulta and Walmart and some other places. Essie nail polishes are not hard to find.

Nice is Nice is from Essie's new French Affair Collection. What a BEAUTIFUL COLOR!!!!! I would highly recommend this color to anyone who is looking for a subtle sorta purple thats very nice and soft. Essie nail polishes hold up well with chipping and with a top coat, are very hard to chip with your day to day activities.

The eos Lip Balm

The eos Lip Balm: $3
*This product is sold pretty much everywhere. I've seen them in Ulta, Walgreens, Walmart and Target. If you pay more than $3 dollars for there you are wasting money. They are not at all hard to find.

The eos Lip Balm claims to have long lasting moisture, shea butter and vitamin E, clear color, a smooth sphere that precisely glides on lips, twist off top, gluten free, paraben free, petrolatum free and phthalate free. It claims to be 95% organic and 100% natural.

I have some likes and some dislikes about this lip balm so lets go ahead and start with the likes. The taste is GOOD! Like candy! Yes I will admit that you want to eat it as soon as you smell it it smells that good. I love that its cute and portable and easy to stick in your purse for a quick touch up when your feeling dry. It is soft and glides on good. But it is not precise.... It's just a lip balm.

Now to the dislikes. This is a basic lip balm. If you suffer from dry lips and are looking for a lip balm to change your life, this is not it. If you are looking for a quick fix to dry lips that tastes good and is good for temporary moisture, than this may be the lip balm for you!

They come in 5 colors/flavors. Summer fruit (the one pictured above), lemon drop which has spf 15, honeysuckle honeydew, medicated tangerine and sweet mint.

Overall, these are cute but not amazing. I give then 5 out of 10 stars.

My MAC Neutral Palette

From left to right: *Vanilla, Shroom, Ricepaper

From left to right: Naked Lunch, All That Glitters, *Cork

From left to right: *Sable, Satin Taupe, Mulch

*Carbon

Vanilla, Shroom, Ricepaper, Naked Lunch, All That Glitters Cork

Sable, Satin Taupe, Mulch, Carbon

MAC Palettes (15): $150 with all 15 eyeshadow's in them.

This is my MAC Neutral Palette. As you can see, not all of my slots are filled in. I got this palette about a month ago and there are still many shades that I want in there but I already have in the plastic containers. For example, Amber Lights and Soft brown are already one's I have it plastic containers and I will wait till their all used up to get a new one to put in my palette.

I use pretty much all of these colors but my absolute favorite is Vanilla. It's so universal and I use it every day (pretty much!). I absolutely LOVE THAT COLOR. Cork is the best brown I've ever come across. If you do not have this color, get it! Even if you think you have a color that is similar, it's not. Go ahead and splurge and GET IT! It's so blend-able and works well with ALL COLORS. Yeah, even bright fun colors. It really helps to soften harsh lines.

Here is a list of all the colors and their descriptions:

  • Vanilla: Velvet finish. VERY LIGHT pink/champagne color. Great all over the lid or as a highlight and a very subtle inner corner brightener
  • Shroom: Satin finish. Shimmery greycast white. Good for a highlight or inner corner. Used to be my favorite light color until I got vanilla.
  • Ricepaper: Frost finish. I think it's anything but. It doesn't show up shimmery on me at all. It's really close to my skin tone and I often use it between my brow highlight and eyeshadow to even out skin tones.
  • Naked Lunch: Frost finish. Beautiful universal light pink/champagne. Darker than vanilla.
  • All That Glitters: Frost finish. Darker pink with champagne undertones.
  • Cork: Matte finish. Cannot get enough of it. Great for blending and crease color.
  • Sable: Frost finish. Wonderful for in the crease! Good to work with.
  • Satin Taupe: Frost finish. I haven't quite figured out a way to use this. If you have any tips, let me know!
  • Mulch: Frost finish. Similar to Sable but darker. Good for Smokey eyes!
  • Carbon: Matte Finish. Amazing black. So wearable and blendable.
What should be in this palette:
  • Amber Lights: Perfect gold! Love all over the lid or for a gold smokey eye.
  • Soft Brown: Matte finish. Favorite brown besides cork. Very light brown.

My advice is that if you don't have any neutral shades because you love these bright fun colors, please try again. Neutral colors have the ability to bring out your natural beauty  and you can wear dramatic lips with them.

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon (#75)

Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon (#75): $32
*I got mine at Macy's but this is available where all Chanel makeup products are sold.

This lip product is something like a lipstick, lipgloss and lip stain all in one. I love the texture of the formula. It's so comfortable and smooth, it's like your not wearing anything it all. Mine lasted all day from 7 AM to 3:30 PM and then I took it off with makeup wipes. It's hydrating and not in the least bit sticky. I wish all lipsticks came like this! What a great product.

I have to admit that this color (#75 Dragon) which is pretty much the perfect red ever created is a little hard to apply. You have to have a steady hand and even in the above pictures, you can see it's not perfect. Applying it straight from the tube is not a good idea. I used a lip brush for the outline of my lips because the first time I applied it straight from the tube, I looked like a clown, it was so outside the lines.

Also, if not careful, this product easily comes off on the rims and it can get messy. Be careful when putting the applicator back into the tube.

The color is the perfect red! I love this product, just not the applicator. It's to big for my lips. It's high in the shine and velvety on the lips. Even after meals, this stays on. You look in the mirror, thinking you need more and you don't. It's perfectly intact. It just kind of turned into a good lip stain.

The other thing I like about this product is that it comes off to easily with makeup remover. Didn't even put up a fight. Came straight off with no residue or staining effects. Strange. But I LOVE IT!

I give this product 9 out of 10 stars for the applicator. But you can apply with a lip brush if you have time.

Urban Decay Naked Palette

From left to right: Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar

From left to right: Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse

From left to right: Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle

From left to right: Creep, Gunmetal

24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil: Zero, Whiskey

Urban Decay Naked Palette: $44
* I know that this palette is extremely hard to find. After months of searching for this, I found them eventually at Ulta but Sephora also carries then when available. Check online.

Urban Decay Naked Palette (UDNP) is one of the greatest palettes I've ever had the privilege to own. For those who love neutral looks and wear them pretty much everyday, this palette is a MUST! It has 12 shades. Eight shades are neutral colors while pack a little color breeze which is much welcomed. Six shades are on the permanent line while 5 are new and one is re-promoted.

The eyeshadows are:

  • Virgin: Pale beige nude with a hint of shimmer.
  • Sin: Champagne with a hint of pink. This shade is on the permanent line.
  • Naked: A beige/brown matte color. One of my favorite shades. Great for blending. This shade is on the permanant line.
  • Sidecar: A shimmery brown/gold color. This is the re-promoted shade.
  • Buck: A dark brown matte color.
  • Half Baked: Copper-ish with a frosty finish. Absolutely beautiful color. Plus, it reminds me of raw cookie dough! :) This shade is permanent.
  • Smog: Medium to dark bronze with shimmer. This shade is permanent.
  • Darkhorse: Dark chocolate brown with a touch of bronze shimmer.
  • Toasted: Pinky milk chocolate brown with light shimmer. This shade is on the permanent line.
  • Hustle: Dark chocolate brown with a hint of plum color. Light shimmer.
  • Creep: Black with silver shimmer.
  • Gunmetal: Metallic grey. This shade is on the permanent line.
This palette also contain a double ended 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in Zero (black) and Whiskey (chocolate brown with red undertones). The palette also comes with a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion. The palette is beautifully structured with a velvet like outside and gold lettering. There is no other word to describe this palette: classy. The value of the product is amazing too. You get 12 full sized shades (0.05 oz) for $44 dollars. Urban Decays individual eyeshadows cost $17 dollars. That's a $204 dollar value for $44 dollars. That's an amazing deal and you're nuts if you find one and don't buy it. These shades are something that you will find reaching for every day. They are so wearable and I absolutely LOVE THEM!

All of the shades are rich in color and pigmented just right. Building the color up is very easy. There are different types of eyeshadows from shimmery to matte. You can wear them with any outfit and the pink-browns and plum-browns just make the palette all the more wearable. You can go from  natural, to neutral, to smokey, to dramatic. This palette does....it....all!!!

I know that this palette is extremely hard to find. My recommendation: Don't spend an insane amount of money to get this on ebay.com or amazon.com. Yes, they are flying off the shelves, and yes it is totally worth the buy. But this palette is on the permanent line. Just be patient. I waited 3 months before I found one. And like boyfriends, as soon as I stopped running to the store and calling to see if they had one, I walked into Ulta to get some cotton balls and THERE IS WAS. I could hear the chorus of angels.

I still love my MAC Neutral Palette but I find that I take both out and mix them up. I could literally just have this palette, some brushes, lipstick, blush and mascara and I would be set for a lifetime.

10 out of 10 stars. The only thing I don't like is the color creep. It is wearable but I prefer Carbon by MAC. But that is personal preference and I can't take off a star for that.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

The picture above was when the product was rubbed into my skin.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion: $18
* Currently available at Sephora and Ulta (online as well). This also comes in other colors/formulas. See sephora.com or ulta.com for more information.

Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) is an eyeshadow primer that is designed to make your eyeshadow last longer and look more vibrant. It also helps with creasing if you have issues in that area. In my opinion, UDPP gets the job done. I have never had a problem with creasing in my eyeshadows, but my eyeshadow does not last all day without UDPP. I use it everyday after I put on my foundation and by the end of the day, my eyeshadow is still looking like I just put it on hours ago.

The one pictured above is 10 mL or 0.34 US oz. The packaging is cute although not very practical. My bottle of UDPP is relatively new so I still have a lot of product coming out on the brush. I've heard that after awhile, although the product might seem to have dried out, is hasn't. There are many videos on youtube.com, showing you how to cut open the bottle to get out the rest of the product. After watching them, I am amazed at the amount of product that was still in the bottle even though it was not coming out.

A problem that I have had with this product is the crusting around the outter rim between the top and the bottle. It seems as if there was too much product in the container and it oozed out when I was closing the cap. Although it is annoying and it looks messy and gross, it doesn't impact the product at all.

Overall, I would recommend this product just based on the product itself. Urban Decay needs a new bottle design because this one is not at all practical. For those who don't know about the bottle malfunction, they are wasting a lot of money. I feel like $18 dollars is not to expensive for the amount of product that you get and how it works.

9 out of 10 stars. I take away 1 star for the bottle design and the crusting issue.
